An Introduction

For nearly two centuries, Sanawar has stood on a Himalayan ridge — a school that taught its sons and daughters to never give in.

In July 2026, that legacy enters a new chapter. The 8th edition of SNAMUN gathers the sharpest young diplomats of the country to debate, dissent and define the questions of our age — beneath the deodars, in the halls where Old Sanawarians once walked.

From the Headmaster

"A school finds its voice in the questions its students dare to ask."

It gives me immense pride to welcome you to the 8th edition of The Sanawar Model United Nations. For 179 years, this school has produced citizens of conviction — soldiers, scholars, statesmen and storytellers. SNAMUN is a natural extension of that lineage.

Here, delegates will be asked to think beyond their borders, to listen as fiercely as they speak and to discover that diplomacy is, at its heart, an act of imagination. I welcome you to our ridge.
